Neighborhood Blitz!

Friends, we are in the fight of our lives. Don’t be confused by the debate between public options and co-ops. Whether its a government run “co-op” or a government run “option”, the fundamental goals are the same: government control.
Can you pass the following packet out to your neighbors? They need to hear what’s going on. Everyone who hears is alarmed, so we’ve got to reach everyone, starting with our own neighborhoods.
I’ve attached two documents. First, a Neighbor Packet, containing a summary of the bill’s provisions and a letter from me inviting them to get involved. Second, an Exposure Report (9 pages) to educate you with a bit more detail.
Please find some time in the next week to do the following:
1. Make copies of the Neighbor Packet (Kinkos, ex.) and deliver to your neighbors.
2. If your neighborhood has a community center, consider scheduling a informational meeting and hand out the detailed Exposure Report.
(If you do an informational meeting, you can include an invitation for it in the packet you deliver. Print an email signup sheet for C2C. Keep a copy for your use and copy me for the master list).
This is what it’s going to take: each of us reaching our friends, family and neighbors.
TIPS for Neighborhood Blitz:
1. Talk to as many people as possible. Before leaving the packet, knock on the door. Ask your neighbor if they are aware of the current health care reform being considered. Ask them if they would be willing to look at a document. Briefly express that you are concerned and wanted to give them some information.
2. Maintain contact if possible. If you can, get their email address and ask them they’d like to recieve our newsletter. If so, send me an email with the address you collect. If nobody is home, put the packet in an envelope with your name and some contact information on it.
Thank you for your activism.
