Urge Senator Nelson to stop it
The Senate Finance Committee is trying to wrap up work on the health care overhaul. There are three pivotal members on this committee, one of them is Bill Nelson. This bill will be harder to stop the more committees it passes. Please take 10 minutes of your day to do the following:
1. Call Senator Nelson (202-224-5274) and urge him to vote the bill down in committee because it cuts Medicare, raises taxes and makes it impossible for private insurance companies to survive.
2. Print this letter (download MS Word or PDF), print and sign it and send it to Mr. Nelson. You could also write your own. The mailing address and mail and fax numbers are on the document.
Senator Nelson—this bill is a mockery of fiscal transparency. Deceptively back-loaded and unrestrained in its mandates, it will deleteriously effect the quality of medicine and lower the standard of living for all. Your constituents don’t want it and neither should you. Do NOT, Senator, vote for this bill. Greg Timmons
