Miracle Week?
It’s hard to believe that we’re even contemplating a Republican victory in Massachusetts. God help Scott Brown defeat Coakley in their race for the people’s seat formerly occupied by Ted Kennedy. This would be the 41st Republican seat, removing the Democrats 60-vote filibuster-proof majority.
Even if Scott Brown loses, the combination of this liberal state being close, coupled with the tide-reversal in New York, New Jersey and Virginia, could get the attention of enough Democrats and make them unwilling to sacrifice their political futures for the sake of passing a Healthcare bill.
Awaken! Starts Saturday
Win or lose, this is going to be a good week because with our Awaken! Citizen Involvement Course starts Saturday. Florida State Representative Scott Plakon will be speaking to us.
